This service is available both at our laboratory in Estepona and at our laboratory in San Pedro de Alc\u00e1ntara (Marbella). Below, you can find further information about the different examinations and tests that are available at our two centres. Please call us for more information. <\/div>[vc_single_image image=”36746″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The PCR test detects genetic material (RNA) from the virus. It identifies the presence of the virus in the organism, active infections in symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.<\/p>\n

The sample is taken from the nasopharynx. It is not necessary to fast beforehand, although it\u2019s recommendable not to eat or smoke during the 30 minutes immediately before the test.<\/p>\n

The result will be available within 1h-30h*<\/p>\n

The sample can be taken from the nasopharynx, or from saliva.\u00a0 It is not necessary to fast beforehand, although it\u2019s recommendable not to eat or smoke during the 30 minutes immediatlely before the test.<\/p>\n
