Biopsies

The biopsies consist of an evaluation of tissues extracted from patients to provide diagnoses, prognosis and, in some cases, predictions of response to specific treatments. The final diagnosis of a biopsy is based on the interpretation of the morphological data of the samples, taking into account the results of the relevant cytological, immunohistochemical, cytogenetic, genetic-molecular and ultra-structural studies, as well as the patient’s clinical information.
